Administrator - Filleigh Primary School (Devon Moors Federation)

24 hours per week - 39 weeks per year

Permanent - Grade C £12.85 - £13.26 per hour depending on experience

The Devon Moors Federation is an eight-school federation. It consists of Clyst Hydon, Copplestone, Filleigh, Kilmington, Lympstone, Shute, Spreyton and Upottery Primary Schools. We are also part of the United Schools Learning Partnership Co-Operative Trust, which we joined in February 2018.

Filleigh Primary School is a small and friendly village school with four classes and approximately 77 children on roll. We are a happy and welcoming school and believe that learning is an experience to be enjoyed. We have a team of dedicated and committed teachers and support staff.

We are looking to appoint an Administrator to join our federation admin team to start on the 2nd September 2025. Working under the guidance of the Federation Business Manager, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries to the school, so a warm and welcoming manner is essential. The school office is a very busy place with many interruptions and distractions. The successful candidate will be able to multitask and work to deadlines within set parameters. They will also be required to provide administrative support to the Head of School and other staff.

Good IT skills are essential for this post as you will be required to input data into the Bromcom Management Information System and use Word, Publisher and Excel on a regular basis. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous office experience who is ready to take the next step in their career development. Training on school-specific software systems will be given.

This is a very exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to work in a lively and busy environment that supports education and learning for the children of Filleigh and the surrounding area. The Governors are committed to CPD and are keen to support staff to develop their professional practice and careers.
