The Devon Moors Federation is an eight school federation. It consists of Clyst Hydon, Copplestone, Filleigh, Kilmington, Lympstone, Shute, Spreyton and Upottery Primary Schools. We are also part of the United Schools Learning Partnership Co-Operative Trust.
Kilmington Primary School has 80 children on roll, and we are looking to appoint a Foundation Stage Practitioner to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team in the Foundation Stage Unit. This post is to start as early as possible in the new academic year.
The post is for Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.30pm, making 31.25 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks of the year. This is a varied and exciting role and the successful candidate will be working in the classroom to implement a range of activities with small groups of children, contributing towards written observations for the children and generally assist children in undertaking both adult directed and child initiated activities, interacting with them to support their learning and development.
A suitable and relevant Level 3 qualification is essential.

Pre-School Worker - Copplestone Pre-School
Permanent - Part-Time - Grade B £11.79 to £11.98 p/h depending on experience
Copplestone Pre-School is a governor-run pre-school linked to Copplestone Primary School. The facility is offered in a dedicated building with access to outside areas and close links with the Reception Class. We are dedicated to the learning and development of each individual child. We believe in a child centred approach, and plan from the needs and interests of the children to encourage their imagination and desire to learn.
We have a vacancy for a permanent position as a pre-school worker. You will be directed by the Pre-School Practitioner and Head of School and will be assigned key children to work with and support as well as undertaking general duties around the pre-school. This includes working over break and lunchtime to support the children who stay all day. This post is for 23 hours and 10 minutes per week, worked over 38 weeks per year with some hours (included in the hours stated) to be worked on the non-pupil days as directed by the Pre-School Practitioner. A suitable and relevant level 2 qualification is essential for this post. The exact days and hours worked will be discussed at the interview.

1:1 Teaching Assistant - Copplestone Primary School
Post 1 Grade B £11.79-£11.98 per hour depending on experience -Fixed
Post 2 Grade C £12.18-£12.59 per hour depending on experience
The Devon Moors Federation is an established eight-maintained school federation. It consists of Clyst Hydon, Copplestone, Filleigh, Kilmington, Lympstone, Shute, Spreyton and Upottery Primary Schools. Copplestone Primary School has 146 children on roll, and we are looking to appoint a TA to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team as soon as possible. We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 2 with SEND requirements and to also work with small groups of children across all key stages. You will be required to provide support both in and out of the classroom environment. This role also includes some breaktime cover. You must have a passion for helping children learn and develop, be able to build positive relationships and have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Post 1 - This role is for 18 hours & 30 minutes per week for 39 weeks of the year, all day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. This is a fixed post linked to the SEND funding for a child in school. The post is linked to the continued attendance of the child and their continued funding to meet the SEND needs.
Post 2 - We are also looking to recruit an After School Club Leader for our thriving and popular on-site After School Club for a Wednesday which equates to 2 hours 10 minutes per week. This post is for 38 weeks per year.
