Foundation Stage Practitioner – Spreyton Primary School
FSU work is Grade C: £13.26 - £13.69 p/h depending on experience.
The Devon Moors Federation is an established eight-maintained school federation. It consists of Clyst Hydon, Copplestone, Filleigh, Kilmington, Lympstone, Shute, Spreyton and Upottery Primary Schools. We are also part of the United Schools Learning Partnership Co-Operative Trust.
Spreyton Primary School is a small and friendly two-class school with 29 children on roll. As a small school, we are able to cater to individual needs, prioritise well-being and be flexible with children's individual needs. We currently have a vacancy within the school. We are looking to appoint a Pre-School Practitioner for Monday to Wednesday mornings and all day Thursday. This is a permanent post. Some lunch cover is also required. The children at Spreyton are a joy to work with – being a small setting means we get to know our children really well, and reap the rewards of this relationship-based approach to learning. We can see our children thrive through the nurture and care they receive from our highly experienced and skilful team. If this philosophy resonates with you, we would love to hear from you.
The pre-school age children at Spreyton Primary School are part of a Foundation Stage Unit which is open during term time. We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Pre-School Leader to work under the direction of the class teacher and Head of School to lead and organise activities for pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage Unit, including reception age children, ensuring that children coming to Spreyton get the best start possible to their educational journey. This role would suit someone looking to develop their ability to plan and lead activities within a small and supportive environment. This role is for 16.75 hours per week. A suitable and relevant Level 3 qualification is essential for this post. There may be an opportunity to extend these hours in other roles within the school.
Please see below for an application pack and view our Child Protection & Safeguarding Policies. Only applications completed using the DCC Non Teaching Staff application form will be considered. Please do not send a CV. Please send applications to the Office Manager, Mrs Jayne Hall, on jhall@devonmoorsfederation.devon.sch.uk.
